Wee Too Bath

The older I get, the more I learn I am a born procrastinator. I think I wrote about this before, but have been procrastinating against digging through my previous entries to find it. Wow. March 8th was the last time I posted. That was a very long time ago. What has happened since then? Well, if I recall correctly, I last posted about our trip to see Doctor, my breechness, and that I am a wee Wee Too. What has happened since...hmmm...goodness! How could I ever have forgotten? The Wee Too Bath!

Well, technically, it was called a "Baby Shower", but I don't really like showers, I think. Big brother has been in a shower before, and he said water gets in your eyes, and it is hard to play without drowning. I am not fond of drowning, so I think I like baths. Thus, the Wee Too Bath is exactly the same as a Baby Shower, only better. Yes, much better.

On Friday, me, Mommy, Daddy, and big brother all packed into our trusty auto, and varoomed down the highway at legal speeds to my very own Aunty M.'s house. I like it there. She has a big dog that Mommy doesn't like, and that big brother is scared of. She makes us very tasty food, much of which has chocolate in it. She also has a bedroom that looks like a motel, and a bath that has a sloped back. Mommy and I bathed in it, and it was great!

The Wee Too Bath was Saturday, and one hour past the lunching hour. I had not lunched, as I was saving room for sweets and egg salad sandwiches. The Wee Too Bath was at my Nanny and Grampy O.'s. When we got there, everyone was in a kerfluffle making last minute preparations. What a spetatular job everyone had done! Daddy and big brother went to find toys, and Mommy and I made ourselves at home. Within minutes, the car loads of people started rolling in. One...Two...Ten...Twenty...Forty...More?! Yes, more than 40 people piled through the door. Friends, family, friends of family and family of friends. Babies and toddler, and adults, and beyond. Men, and women and...ummm...just men and women.

The men stayed out in the kitchen area and took care of the babies and toddlers who were all playing on the slide. The womenfolk, me, and my Grampy P. all staye din the living room for the festivities. First, we played games. We played lots of fun things, and people won some really neat prizes! I cannot remember right now exactly what the games were. I was waiting for food, and was so anxious I fell asleep.

After the games, we all descended on the food. Yum yum yum! Aunty M. had made so many yummy treats. Mommy and I dined on extraordinary egg salad sandwiches, as is the tradition at these things. I don't really like them, but I humor Mommy.

After the games, we opened presents. And, folks, there were many of them. Sleepers, and diapers, and toys, and soothies, and bottles, and shorts, and shirts, and hats, and a diaper pyramid, and a basket of goodies - with coffee for Daddy (who, I might add, never stops talking about how good it is!), and a diaper bag filled with all the good stuff new babies like me will need. What a lovely time it was. What a splendid group of friends and family we have. Everyone was there to enjoy a good time, and to celebrate the coming of me! Gorsh! It makes a Wee Too blush!

Aunty J. could not make it to the Bath (it was her birthday, so I will excuse her), but she got Mommy a super present. This weekend, Mommy and Aunty J. will be going to their feet nails done, and other feet related things. I don't know if I have feet nails yet. I don't want them painted if I do. It seems a bit odd to me, but then again, I am new with the ways of the world. Mommy is very much looking forward to this.

In other news, poor big brother has been sick as sick can be! The poor fellow has been miserable. He was hot, and weak, and would not eat or drink. He was obsessed with gates and lights, and is only now begninning to feel better. Get well soon, big brother!

Well, my friends, nightime is here, so bedtime stories are waiting. Tonight I am going to learn about the platapus who jumped under the moon. I am excited to see what kind of a pickle that old platapi will get into. Until next time (which should be sooner than later)! Have a great day!

Oh, here is a picture of me modelling a sleeper I got at the Wee Too Bath, and one of Stomach modelling a cloth diaper (which I did not get, but did find tucked away in my home). Enjoy!
